Community Partner

The Assistance League of Minneapolis and St Paul is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults through their community programs.

The Assistance League engages River Bend with their Food for Kids program where each student is given food staples to bring home weekly.  In addition, River Bend has been awarded grants through the Assistance League's Grants for Teachers program.  We were able to utilize funds to support multiple programs at our school.

The SEAC is comprised of a majority of parents/guardians, and key special education department staff. The SEAC often invites leaders from other district departments in order to be informed and to lend perspective to decision making.
